Her professional odyssey commenced in the vibrant realm of journalism, where she embarked on a remarkable path at the esteemed Ebony Magazine. Here, her talents found their wings, propelling her to the prestigious positions of New York Editor and New York Bureau Chief within the magazine’s influential parent company, Johnson Publications. In a world where words and visuals intertwine, Ponchitta has carved her own unique narrative, leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of media and communication.

Ponchitta’s career journey extended beyond print media into the dynamic world of broadcasting. She lent her expertise as a special correspondent at CBS News and further honed her skills at WNBC-TV in New York. There, she took the helm as the host and co-producer of the popular daily television show, “Today in New York,” offering viewers a daily dose of news and entertainment.
